Old Dominion Baseball will resume Sun Belt Conference play against No. 8 Southern Miss this week at the Ellmer Family Baseball Complex, with games scheduled for April 2, 3, and 4.
The series is significant as Old Dominion looks to improve its conference record and standings while facing a nationally ranked opponent. All three games will be streamed on ESPN+ with live stats available.
Saturday’s game will feature Teacher Appreciation and Youth Day, offering free admission for teachers with valid school identification and a raffle for school supplies courtesy of ODU Lacrosse. Children attending can run the bases after the game, followed by an autograph session with Monarchs players.
Fans attending the series can park at the Elkhorn Garage or Lot 43 at LR Hill Sports Complex. This year’s stadium entrance is located near ODU’s Chemistry Building, with temporary seating provided in left center field. The Power Alley Patio, presented by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), will include a food truck and beer garden. Ticket prices are $10 for general admission, $8 for faculty and military personnel, and $5 for children ages two to twelve. Big Blue’s Kids Club members receive free admission to all home games.
In previous meetings between Old Dominion and Southern Miss, the Golden Eagles lead the all-time series 15-6. Last season saw both teams compete during Sun Belt play as well as in the conference championship tournament.
