NorfolkPublicSchools, the official account for Norfolk Public Schools in Virginia, shared a series of updates on its Twitter account about the beginning of the new academic year and new initiatives within the district.

On August 21, 2025, NorfolkPublicSchools posted: “It’s Boots on the Ground at Madison Alternative Center! Ms. Cooke kicked off the year with motivation, expectations, and plenty of school spirit. #bootsontheground #firstdayofschool https://t.co/szHztIfR0d”
