Norfolk Public Schools shared updates on student achievements and school initiatives through a series of tweets on April 9, 2026.

In a tweet posted at 17:30 UTC, the district congratulated a Southside STEM Academy seventh grader for being named a Virginia Lottery “Thank a Teacher” Art Contest winner. An hour later, at 18:30 UTC, Norfolk Public Schools recognized the contributions of its assistant principals as part of Assistant Principals Week.
