Norfolk Public Schools announces career fair and highlights social worker during Women’s History Month

Norfolk Public Schools, the public school district serving Norfolk, Virginia, recently highlighted several initiatives and events through its official social media channels.

On March 25, 2026, Norfolk Public Schools posted about a community member as part of two ongoing celebrations: Women’s History Month and School Social Worker Month. The district wrote: ” #WomensHistoryMonth & #SchoolSocialWorkerMonth Honored to spotlight #NPS social worker Gloria Barnes Williams. Her impact on our community, decades of service and a role model. Watch: https://t.co/oUBmZH7xp6 https://t.co/Lj6BpmZ1Ra”.

The following day, on March 26, 2026, the district invited the public to an upcoming employment event at Granby High School. In its announcement it stated: “Join us this Saturday, March 28 at Granby High School for our All Jobs Career Fair. Bring your resume and take the next step toward a rewarding career with NPS. #NowHiring #NPS https://t.co/9hti79VqQC”.

Later that same day, Norfolk Public Schools promoted another event scheduled for April 2, 2026. The post read: ” Join Norfolk Public Schools’ SEAC! Apr 2, 2026 6:00 PM Granby HS Library. Together we can empower students with disabilities to succeed. #SEAC #NPS https://t.co/fvm4Bo3eje”.

Norfolk Public Schools serves as one of Virginia’s largest urban school districts and regularly engages with its community through educational programming and outreach events designed to support both staff recruitment and student success.
