Later that day, she addressed recent legislative developments regarding healthcare policy. In a post made at 14:50 UTC on January 9, Kiggans shared her perspective on congressional activity related to health insurance subsidies: “My statement on the latest ACA premium tax credit vote in the House”.
In another message posted at 16:24 UTC the same day, Kiggans marked Law Enforcement Appreciation Day by thanking police officers and sheriff’s deputies. She wrote: “Today is Law Enforcement Appreciation Day…. Kiggans has represented Virginia’s 2nd District since 2023 after replacing Elaine Luria. Before her tenure in Congress, she served in the Virginia Senate from 2020 to 2022. Born in Tampa, Florida in 1971 and currently residing in Virginia Beach, Kiggans earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Old Dominion University in 2011.
