Congresswoman Jen Kiggans, who represents Virginia’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared a series of updates via her official Twitter account on July 24, 2025.

In her first post at 13:00 UTC, Kiggans highlighted her support for the One Big Beautiful Bill, stating, “As a Mom, I know that being a parent is the toughest job…but also the most fulfilling. Come tax season, parents deserve a break. That’s why I supported the One Big Beautiful Bill to:

Increase the Child Tax Credit (CTC) by $200 per child

Kiggans has represented Virginia’s 2nd congressional district since replacing Elaine Luria in 2023. Before serving in Congress, she was a member of the Virginia Senate from 2020 to 2022. Born in Tampa, Florida in 1971 and currently residing in Virginia Beach, Kiggans holds a BSN degree from Old Dominion University (2011).
