Congresswoman Jen Kiggans, who represents Virginia’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared a series of updates via her official Twitter account regarding constituent services, support for veterans, and legislative initiatives for coastal protection.
On July 21, 2025, Kiggans posted an invitation to local residents seeking assistance with federal matters: “Do you need help navigating the federal government? If so, I would like to invite you to my next mobile office hours that my district staff is holding TUESDAY, July 22nd from 11 AM – 2 PM in Virginia Beach…! See graphic for details.”
The following day, on July 22, she highlighted the significance of recent legislative wins for veterans in her district: “I serve in a district with one of the largest veteran populations in the country. Kiggans has served as a member of Congress since replacing Elaine Luria in 2023 and previously held office in the Virginia Senate from 2020 through 2022. She resides in Virginia Beach and holds a nursing degree from Old Dominion University earned in 2011. Born in Tampa, Florida in 1971, Kiggans continues to focus on both constituent outreach and legislative action relevant to her district’s unique needs.
