Congresswoman Jen Kiggans, who represents Virginia’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, recently posted a series of updates on her social media account covering legislative intentions, community engagement, and constituent services.
On July 17, 2025, Kiggans addressed concerns about digital currency oversight by stating: “A Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) is a government-controlled version of cryptocurrency that could give unelected bureaucrats the ability to monitor and block your transactions. This poses a serious threat to Americans’ financial privacy. That’s why I plan to vote for”. The post reflects ongoing debates in Congress regarding financial technology and privacy issues.
Later the same day, she welcomed a working dog organization to Capitol Hill alongside another legislator: “Happy to welcome @AK9idogs to the Hill with my Working Dog Caucus Co-Chair, @RepDonDavis ! https://t.co/VqMYd4JZ4W”.
On July 18, 2025, Kiggans expressed gratitude toward constituents and highlighted her office’s efforts in resolving local issues: “It’s always an honor serving our constituents in #VA02. Thank you again, Dana, for reaching out to my office and I’m glad that our casework team was able to resolve the issue! Are you having issues navigating the federal government? Give my office a call at 757-364-7650 or visit https://t.co/gamdtEDEoc”.
Kiggans has served as the congressional representative for Virginia’s 2nd district since replacing Elaine Luria in 2023.
