On June 12, 2025, Kiggans expressed condolences regarding the tragic crash of Air India Flight AI183 in Ahmedabad. She stated: “We are heartbroken by the tragic crash of Air India Flight AI183 in Ahmedabad. From Virginia’s Second District, our thoughts and prayers are with all those affected—from the passengers and crew to the students and staff at the medical college. We join the world in mourning this”.

Later that day, Kiggans participated in a House Armed Services Committee hearing where she emphasized the importance of investing in NAS Oceana for future military operations. She tweeted: “At today’s House Armed Services Committee hearing, I urged Department of Defense leadership to invest in NAS Oceana—our East Coast master jet base—as we prepare for F/A‑XX and expand F‑35 operations. Modernizing our infrastructure is essential to support the next generation of”.

On June 13, 2025, Kiggans reaffirmed her support for Israel amidst ongoing geopolitical tensions. She wrote: “I stand with our only democratic ally in the Middle East, Israel. Praying for the safety of the Israeli people and our troops overseas. Iran must never possess nuclear weapons.”

Jen Kiggans has been serving as a U.S Congresswoman since replacing Elaine Luria in 2023. Before her current role, she served in the Virginia Senate from 2020 to 2022.
