Cost of college increased for all students at The Chrysm Institute of Esthetics in 2022-23 school year

The Chrysm Institute of Esthetics saw a 4.2% tuition increase for the 2022-23 school year, based on the latest available information, according to the latest disclosure from the National Center for Education Statistics.

Students paid $10,000 to attend the private for-profit institution during both the 2021-22 and 2022-23 academic years.

Approximately 95% of the undergraduate students at the school are residents of Virginia, while about 5% come from other states.

Data indicates that 55% of full-time undergraduates who enrolled at The Chrysm Institute of Esthetics in 2022-23 received some form of student financial aid. Specifically, 33 students were awarded grants or scholarships totaling $135,765, and 39 students obtained student loans amounting to more than $214,995.

Across the entire undergraduate population, 175 students received grants or scholarships totaling $734,865. Additionally, 225 students borrowed a combined $1.3 million in federal student loans.

Meanwhile, student loan debt has steadily increased over the last 30 years, reaching $1.75 trillion in 2024, averaging a total of $28,950 per borrower. Federal loans make up 92% of the debt, with over half of students at both public and private four-year colleges graduating with student loans.
