Congresswoman Jen Kiggans, representing Virginia’s 2nd district, has shared her views on several significant topics through a series of tweets. These posts reflect her legislative actions and stance on national and international issues.
On July 9, 2025, Kiggans stated that she “voted for the reconciliation bill because I knew it would benefit my constituents, secure our border, and boost our economy.” This statement highlights her support for legislation aimed at economic growth and national security.
Later the same day, she emphasized the importance of NATO alliances in maintaining regional stability. In her words, “American leadership and support for our NATO allies is critical to preserving regional security in Europe. NATO partners investing more in their own self-defense is a win for NATO and a win for #VA02.” This tweet underscores her commitment to international cooperation and defense.
Jen Kiggans has served in the U.S. Congress since 2023 after replacing Elaine Luria. Prior to this role, she was a member of the Virginia Senate from 2020 to 2022. Born in Tampa, Florida in 1971, Kiggans now resides in Virginia Beach. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Old Dominion University.
